A Quieter Corner of the Estate
Once the estate’s hunting lodge, The Lodge lies tucked away in a quieter corner of the grounds, with an intimate rhythm of its own. Mornings may begin with a walk through the woods alongside the estate’s lively pack of dogs—a dozen or more, large and small—racing between the trees as rabbits dart across the path ahead. It is estate life at its most natural: unhurried, informal and wonderfully alive.
Discover The Lodge More Personally
Through the Club, The Lodge’s quieter world — from woodland mornings with the estate’s dogs to days beside the river — is woven with an original encounter conceived exclusively for this retreat.
The full Club Edition is shared personally upon enquiry.
About The Lodge
Set within the 350-acre Ashford Estate, The Lodge offers a more intimate way to experience this legendary corner of Ireland. It looks across Lough Corrib and places you within reach of the traditions, landscapes and quiet rituals that have shaped Ashford for generations.
This is not simply a stay beside a castle. It is an invitation to discover the wider life of the estate—from falconry and lakeside walks to long dinners and unhurried moments in the Irish countryside.
Beyond The Lodge
The Lodge may lie in one of Ashford’s quietest corners, but the wider estate remains open to its guests. Follow woodland paths, spend unhurried hours fishing beside the river, or simply wander through landscapes shaped by generations of estate life. The intimacy of the Lodge comes with the freedom to experience the estate as a whole.
Access Beyond What Is Shown
Not every castle within the World Castle Club circle is presented publicly. Some private estates and experiences remain intentionally discreet and are introduced only when there is a genuine fit.
Access may be extended through personal introductions, existing members or a direct conversation with World Castle Club.
If you feel aligned with the spirit of the community, we welcome your enquiry.
